ARAPAMESU
Youth Apprenticeship Program
Sibiu, Romania

ARAPAMESU provides education and employment preparation to youth from families that are experiencing extreme poverty. These adolescents, ages 13-19, spend much of their time on the street and are at high risk of engaging in behaviors such as drug use, prostitution and other crimes. This program provides a positive alternative by offering intensive one-on-one job training, while matching the youth with volunteer mentors outside of the program to provide unbiased support and guidance. Program participants are also offered employment placement assistance and counseling for themselves and family members. You can directly support this project or contact us for more information.
